“World’s Most Powerful Facial”

You ever heard of Cleopatra? The Egyptian queen who SLAYED? Shame on you if the answer is no. (Also, I am sorry that your schooling system has failed you)
In her short reign, Cleopatra was known for her bizarre beauty regime. One in particular; Milk baths. Cleopatra bathed in milk with honey and almond oil. Now, while we all know the beauty benefits of honey and oils, I don’t think many people are aware of the benefits of calcium.
We all know that calcium is good for the bones, but let me tell you why calcium bentonite good for the face.

Calcium Bentonite clay carries a strong negative charge which bonds to the positive charge in many toxins. When it comes in contact with a toxin, chemical, or heavy metal, the clay will absorb the toxin and release its minerals for the body to absorb. This not only absorbs toxins, but it helps to unclog pores making them appear smaller in the process.

The minerals your body absorbs helps to control the overproduction of sebum on the skin, which is perfect if you have any blemishes as this will help to control the excess oil that sits on top of the skin.

Bentonite also helps get oxygen to cells as it pulls excess hydrogen and allows the cells to replace it with oxygen instead. So forget oxygen facials, this clay has got you, girl.

I purchased this Indian Healing Clay from iHerb.com for under $15 AUD. It contains 454g and, seriously; Lasts. You. A. Lifetime.
You only need about a teaspoon of this in a bowl, mixed with your choice of water, coconut oil or apple cider vinegar (My personal favourite). Mix it up and slather it on your face. Leave for about 20-30 minutes on the face. Don’t be alarmed if you feel your face start to pulsate – this is to be expected. Your face will begin to pulsate as the clay dries/hardens and it begins to pull the toxins from your skin.
Next is the tricky part – PLEASE DO NOT SCRAPE THIS AWAY FROM THE FACE, I beg of you. What you need to do is grab a hot, damp, facial towel and press this against the skin so that it softens and loosens its grip on your face. Then you may begin to gently wipe off the mask.
Alternatively, you can just jump straight into a steamy shower and run your face under warm water until the clay softens, and then remove.

Your skin will be left looking a little red, so I do recommend that you do this in the evening. The redness will go down overnight and you will wake up in the morning with fresh and glowing skin.

Some other benefits to this clay mask are:

  • Makes skin softer
  • Gives a definite glow to your face
  • Exfoliates
  • Helps reduce the appearance of scars
  • Safe for all skin types
  • Can be used to regenerate skin tissue
  • Gives you an even skin tone

If you have been a sufferer of acne, life myself, you NEED this mask in your life. If I had this mask 10 years ago, I would have potentially saved myself from so many unnecessary blemishes and scarring, it is insane. Life goes on, and I am thankful that I have found this little beauty – even if it is a few years late.

The best part is…

  • NO fragrances, NO animal testing, NO animal products
